Food Bank
Dads House Foodbank has evolved greatly since we first opened our doors in 2012. Today, more working families than ever are turning to us for support, with referrals coming from local authorities across London. Many of the people who walk through our doors are doing everything they can to stay afloat, yet still face the painful reality of not being able to feed their children.
When the Covid-19 lockdown struck in March 2020, the need for our services became overwhelming. With two units operating in South London and West London, we were supporting up to a thousand families every single day—families who were frightened, isolated, and struggling with sudden and severe food insecurity.
Since then, our foodbank has recorded over 80,000 visits from families in crisis. Behind every visit is a story of hardship: parents skipping meals so their children can eat, individuals choosing between heating and food, and families facing circumstances they never imagined.
To ease some of this burden, we provide every family with three bags of groceries, each packed with enough ingredients to prepare up to six meals per bag. In total, we have delivered the equivalent of 1,440,000 meals to vulnerable families—meals that have brought relief, dignity, and hope during the most difficult moments of their lives.

Dads House Foodbank supports families from Hammersmith, Fulham, Kensington, Chelsea, and across London. We collect information such as names, addresses, and the number of family members, which helps us understand where the families we support are coming from.
Open to all.
Dads House is serving customers from all over London. We ask clients their name, address, and how many family members. This gives us a snapshot of where people come from. The majority of our clients come from Hammersmith and Fulham, Kensington and Chelsea and the wider London area to visit our food bank in Lillie Road (SW6 1TS).
Wide reach.
In London, the people that Dads House helps are in genuine poverty, many live in housing of poor condition, including housing without central heating, poor ventilation, bad air quality and areas with higher crime levels. As a whole, London accounts for 15 of the 32 most deprived authorities in the UK.
